Each song of Elvira takes place ancient realm of Aetherra, a vast and mysterious world shaped by forgotten magic and the lingering presence of dragons. Legends claim that long before the rise of kingdoms, dragons ruled the skies of Aetherra as living embodiments of the elements. When the age of dragons faded, the land fractured into three great regions, each shaped by its own climate, culture, and hidden powers.
Travel between these lands is rare and dangerous. Sandstorms swallow entire caravans, frozen seas trap ships in eternal ice, and the deep forests conceal things older than civilization itself.
Yet whispers spread across the realm that the age of dragons is not truly over.
1. Solkarra Region — The Ashen Desert
A land of endless dunes, crimson sunsets, and forgotten ruins.
Solkarra is a brutal desert where the wind sings through the bones of ancient cities buried beneath the sand. The sun burns mercilessly during the day, while nights fall into a chilling darkness filled with distant howls.
Scattered across the desert are small villages built around precious wells. Survival here requires resilience, cunning, and sometimes cruelty.
Ancient legends say Solkarra was once the Kingdom of Burning Wings, a place where dragons nested among towering obsidian spires before vanishing centuries ago.
Faction: The Crimson Scourge — Raiders of the Burning Dunes

The Crimson Scourge are brutal raider clans who rule the wastelands between the villages of Solkarra. From the ignis bastion where they hide, they launch raids the desert, rinding on massive sand-beasts and armored war lizards, descending upon settlements like a storm of blades.
They believe strength is the only law of the desert.
Mercy does not exist among them.
The Scourge raid villages, destroy caravans, and capture survivors to be sold as slaves in distant lands. Their camps shift constantly across the dunes, making them nearly impossible to track.
Each clan is led by a warlord who claims power through violence. Betrayal, duels, and brutal trials are common among them.
They worship no gods.
But their shamans speak of the monsters that crawl beneath the sands — creatures older than the desert itself.
To the raiders, these beasts are not feared.
They are offerings for blood sacrifices.
Many believe the desert itself favors the Crimson Scourge… for wherever they travel, war and suffering follow.
Faction: The Dune Wardens — Keepers of the Buried Crown
Hidden beneath the dunes lie the ruins of the once-glorious civilization known as the Dune Wardens.
Centuries ago, they were the rulers of Solkarra — a proud and enlightened people who built magnificent cities carved from pale sandstone and obsidian. Their banners flew across the desert and their caravans carried wealth across Aetherra.
But when the desert began to consume their lands, their empire collapsed.
Today the Wardens are no longer kings and they live in the once beautiful ruins if Dunrhal.
Yet they endure.
Generation after generation, they guard the remnants of their lost civilization and keep alive a prophecy whispered among their people:
One day, a savior will rise from the sands.
A girl born beneath the burning sun.
A queen destined to command dragons.
The Wardens call her “The Child of Dust.”
They believe she will restore their fallen empire and awaken the ancient powers buried beneath Solkarra.
Until that day comes, the Wardens wait in silence beneath the desert.
Watching.
Hoping.
2. Vhaldyr Region — The Frozen Crown
Far to the north lies Vhaldyr, a frozen continent of jagged glaciers, black mountains, and endless blizzards. The sky here is often illuminated by eerie green auroras that dance above the ice.
The cold in Vhaldyr is not natural. Old myths claim the land was cursed when a dragon of frost was slain by ancient kings, freezing the entire region forever.
The few settlements that exist are built into cliffs or carved into the ice itself.
Dominating the region is glacierhold, a massive castle carved in ice with long forgotten magic. Nobody ever reached it and no one knows who it holds.
Faction: The Frostbound Covenant
The Frostbound Covenant is a militant order of warriors and mystics who believe the cold is sacred.
They train from childhood to survive the merciless climate, forging weapons from enchanted ice and steel. Their citadel, Kryos Hold, stands atop a glacier older than history.
The Covenant believes that the spirit of the ancient frost dragon still sleeps beneath the ice.
Some among them seek to awaken it.
Others believe it must remain buried forever.
3. Sylvaranth — The Emerald Dominion
Sylvaranth is a vast and ancient forest stretching beyond the horizon. Towering trees rise like living cathedrals, their branches weaving together to block out much of the sky.
The air is thick with magic. Rivers glow faintly at night, strange creatures roam the undergrowth, and some trees are said to whisper when the wind passes through them.
Sylvaranth is beautiful—but it is not gentle.
Entire armies have vanished beneath its canopy.
Faction: The Verdant Court
The Verdant Court is a mysterious alliance of forest guardians, scholars, and ancient bloodlines who claim to protect the balance of nature.
They dwell in hidden cities grown directly from living trees, connected by bridges of vines and crystal sap.
The Court believes dragons were never meant to rule the world—but to guide it.
Deep within Sylvaranth lies a sacred place known only as The Heartroot, where the oldest dragon once slept beneath the roots of the world-tree.
Recently, the forest has begun to change.
The animals grow restless.
The trees bleed dark sap.
And the Court fears the return of something long forgotten.
A Realm on the Edge of Awakening
The three lands of Aetherra have remained divided for centuries.
The desert burns.
The north freezes.
The forest watches.
But ancient prophecies speak of a Dragon Queen who will one day rise and bind the three realms together.
No one knows when she will appear.
Or what will happen to the world when she does.
